When I am attempting to create a new database diagram from a SQL SERVER 2008 R2 Client(SSMS 2008) to a SQL SERVER 2012 Instance, I got the error shown as:
“This backend version is not supported to design database diagrams or tables. (MS Visual Database Tools)”
Need to install SSMS 2012 to access the functionality
And SSMS 2012 can be installed by choosing Management Tools from “Feature Selection” step
